Remembering Clem Laufenberg

Clem
Laufenberg, who died of cancer June 1, was a key player in
the formation of the Oregon Natural Step Network ten years
ago. In 1996 when I decided to introduce The Natural Step
framework to
Oregon
business and government decision-makers through a one-day
workshop, I had to draw on people with the skills to make

Ten
Year Anniversary Events: October 10th and 11th

Ten
years ago 500 business and government leaders attended their
first Natural Step workshops at the Nike campus in Beaverton,
Oregon. The workshops inspired several business leaders to
apply the Natural Step framework in their businesses which
lead to the formation of the Oregon Natural Step Network.
Over the past ten years, many businesses have found that the
path to sustainability and success are one and the same.

– New Resource for Network Members
Network members
value the “connectivity” that membership provides
to interact and collaborate with others on sustainability
issues. Relationships have been formed at breakfast events,
peer learning groups and workshops. In the spirit of using
every medium available to help our members, we’re launching
